Privacy policy

Wrapwell is a Shopify app made by DCODED. It lets Shopify merchants offer gift wrap, gift messages and gift receipts in their store. This policy explains what data Wrapwell handles, why, and how long it is kept.

Data we collect from merchants

• Your shop domain and the access token Shopify issues when you install the app.
• Your Wrapwell settings: wrap style names, prices and dates, the wording shown in your store, and setup progress.
• The ID of the Gift wrap product and discount Wrapwell creates in your store.
• Feedback you choose to send from the app, with your store name and contact email.

Data about your customers

None. Gift messages, wrap choices and gift receipt requests are saved by Shopify on the cart and the order. Wrapwell's storefront blocks talk only to Shopify, and the app has no access to customers or orders. We never see, read or store your customers' names, emails, addresses, orders or messages.

How the data is used

Only to run Wrapwell for your store: keep the Gift wrap product and your storefront settings in sync, and answer your support requests. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the services below.

Services that process data

• Shopify, where the app runs.
• Fly.io, which hosts the app and its database in the United States on encrypted storage.
• Resend, which delivers the feedback emails you send us.

This website

wrapwell.dcoded.dev uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details. We don't combine this with app data. You can block it with any tracker blocker or Google's opt-out add-on. The Wrapwell app inside Shopify and the blocks in your store don't use analytics.

Retention and deletion

• When you uninstall Wrapwell, Shopify asks us to delete your shop's data after 48 hours, and we delete all of it then.
• Settings → Remove from store deletes the Gift wrap product and discount from your store at any time.
• Ask us at the address below and we'll delete your feedback messages sooner.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on an encrypted volume. Credentials are kept as encrypted secrets, separate from the code.
